Aspiring goalkeepers will have the opportunity to follow their US college soccer dream with the support of former Premier League star Asmir Begović and FirstPoint USA.
The world’s leading US sports scholarship agency is teaming up with The Asmir Begović Goalkeeping Academy to help talented young players pursue the college soccer pathway.
One of the most respected international top-flight goalkeepers in England over the past two decades, Asmir played for Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Stoke City, Chelea, Everton and Leicester City, while representing his country Bosnia and Herzegovina on more than 60 occasions, including playing at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Always one to keep busy with his off-field activities, Asmir set up his own goalkeeping academy in England, Bosnia and Germany, as well as his own Foundation, His younger brother Denis is a FirstPoint alum, having played college soccer in the States at Shaw University, and he has a love for all things American sport, being a passionate New England Patriots fan.
